Gatoto depends on the generosity from donors to serve its students and run its community programs. Obtaining funds for running costs is an ongoing challenge for the school and GIDP as a whole. Many generous individuals and organizations have contributed money, goods, or services. They have found GIDP to be an extremely rewarding and worthy cause to support – we hope you will too. It is important to note that the community contributes over $30,000 per year in school fees and donations.
The Manager acknowledges all donations – reports and accounts are sent to each individual donor by email.

The Gatoto Fund
The Gatoto Fund is an Irish organisation based in Leixlip, Co Kildare and established by previous Irish and international volunteers to Gatoto Primary School, Nairobi, Kenya. Our aim is to support educational activities of this outstanding community-based school.
The school programmes on which we focus are:
- Supporting Teachers’ Salaries
- Equipment and Supplies
- Supporting Food Programme for 1000 Children
