Philip Melly
He has been a member of the Gatoto Board since 2007.Philip is a Human Resource (HR) Professional with advanced knowledge and understanding of HR management principles, practices and the standards applied in public institutions. He has a wealth of experience in employee development and performance, strong management skills, interpersonal and communication skills.
He is a highly effective team player with a clear understanding of the value of working together towards achieving desired goals. Philip is passionate about issues concerning child development and the environment in which they learn.
Philip is currently a Principal Administrative Officer and Head of Administration at the Centre for Respiratory Diseases Research within the Kenyan Medical Research Institute (KEMRI). He holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration, with majoring in Human Resource Management (Daystar University, 2006) and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Linguistics from Egerton University (1991). He also holds certificates in Strategic Leadership, Development and Change Management from the Kenya School of Government (2013), as well as Corporate Governance, Strategic Leadership and Management of Corporations from the same institution (2007).
